Destruction

Destruction

Against a Boston backdrop
Visions of falling leaves
Clam chowder
Your voice speaking softly
Vibrant laughter escapes my lips
In a world of my anguish
You comforted me
I ran to you for solace
You sustained me
I felt so close to you
I shared my darkest moments
Then strangely I found my heart
It was full of love for you
Your wife, how could I?
Knowingly fall in love
With a man already spoken for
She must have meant the world to you
For once again I was surrounded
In a world of pain and abuse
My last barrier was broken
It has almost... Destroyed me
